[Class . 100 (ii)] Inking - apparatus.- In inking apparatus for a printing- machine having an ink-rail providing a throat 6 to co-operate with an ink drum 2 or other rotary member to be supplied with ink, the throat 6 is supported from and is universally adjustable with respect to a supporting part 4 fixed in relation to the drum 2 or rotary member. The ink - rail comprises the support 4, which can be adjusted relatively to the drum 2 by rack-and-pinion means, and one or more components 5 each connected to the support by two bolts 12, one of which passes through an eccentric tube 13 fitted in the component 5. Each component 5 has four screw-threaded holes receiving four screws 15, the ends of which bear against the upper surface of the support 4. By adjusting the screws 15 and the eccentric tube 13, the component 5 can be universally adjusted with respect to the support 4. Each component 5 is provided with an arcuate surface or throat 6 composed of two parts secured together by bolts 18, these two parts providing the ink-conveying passages 7.
