[Class 100 (ii)] An office printing-machine of the kind in which the main matter is printed by a printing segment 3 cooperating with an impression cylinder 4 and in which an auxiliary printing-device A comprises several rotary printing or numbering devices for printing auxiliary texts or numbers is constructed so that each of the three auxiliary printing- devices b, c, d, Fig. 2, can be independently adjusted laterally of a common driving shaft 18, and in addition each of the devices b, c, d is mounted in frames 21 pivoted about a bolt 12 connecting the main frames 11 of the auxiliary devices and independently adjustable so as to regulate the printing pressure. The frames 11 are adjustable by means of screws 28 which pass through bolts 221 connecting the frames and screw into apertures in blocks 30 pivoted to tie-rods 13 which connects the end walls 11 of the main frame A of the auxiliary printing device. Springs 31 are arranged on the screws 28. Each auxiliary printing-cylinder is constructed of two end discs 24, 241, fitted to bushes 231 connected to the frame members 21 and formed with bores 23 which embrace the shaft 18 with sufficient clearance to permit of adjustment of the frame members as described. The discs 24, 24<1> are connected by a crossbridge-piece 25 which secures the cylindrical member 26 carrying the frame segment. The cylinder and the frames 21 are movable as a whole axially of the shaft 18, and are secured in position by a screw 34 which connects the piece 25 to the shaft 18. Rotary motion is transmitted from the shaft 18 to the cylinders by a universal joints or Oldham couplings comprising diametrical projections 37 on the cross-pieces 18 engaging slots 37 in freely mounted discs 36 formed with a second pair of diametrical slots 38 engaging projections 40 on the cylinder end discs 24. The cylinders can thus be adjusted independently relatively to the impression cylinder 4. The printing-surfaces 27 are inked by rollers 17.
