[Classes 20 (iii) and 87 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] A building element especially for the construction of doors, walls, furniture, panelling and the like, which is heat and sound insulating, comprises spaced covering plates 2 of cardboard with a filling consisting of waste tubes 1, e.g., vigogne reels obtained from textile factories, arranged in parallel and connected by pasting. A veneer may be pasted on the plates 2. In constructing a door, the element may be provided with a wooden frame 4 having recesses 5 to receive the layer 2 and veneer.
