[Also in Group X] A panel unit for use in partitions or screens (see Group X) consists of two hardboard panels with a core of a mesh of interlocked hardboard strips secured on edge to each panel. Each cell of the mesh is filled with a wood pulp moulding and the components are bonded under pressure using an adhesive. For providing greater sound insulation the panel units may be of double thickness with a central insulating board panel.
