[Class 66] The parts adapted to be folded to afford the bellows-form mouth closure of a paper carton are of unequal heights, the closure being completed by folding the sections RT, WS, Fig. 4, over the lowermost one, sections RX, SZ over these, and finally the highest section XYZ over the others, as shown in Fig. 8. The folded closure may be held in closed position by means of a metal or other clip, or in the case of cartons impregnated with wax &c, the closure may be sealed by the application of heat and pressure to the folds, which may be pressed to form lateral corrugations. As shown in Fig. 2, the blanks to form the cartons may be cut with little waste from a paper web.
