[Class 138 (ii)] An ironing-machine comprises a rotary iron 9 connected by a flexible shaft 12 with a gear box 8 which, with a motor 7, is carried by a trolley 4 running on an overhead rail 3. The working face 11 of the iron is slightly convex and is provided with a rounded lpwer edge. For supporting the iron without switching off the motor when the iron is temporarily out of use a plate of asbestos is. secured to a metal turntable rotatably mounted in a recess in the ironing table.
