Abstract
519,663. Beam centering for floor construction. SMEDEGAARD, E. J. Dec. 9, 1938, No. 35966. [Classes 20 (i) and 20 (ii)] Formwork for use in the construction of concrete and block floors or ceilings comprises cranked metal plates 29 supported on extensible horizontal beams 22, 23, the plates overlapping oneanother in the transverse and longitudinal directions to suit different shapes and sizes of floor area, and telescopic posts 10 supporting the beams at any desired height. The post members 13 are tapered and slide in a band clip 14 when the clamping screw 15 is eased. A scale 17 is provided on the member 13. The beam elements 22, 23' may be relatively inclined to provide a camber to the floor.
