Abstract

520,747. Beam supports for floor shuttering. MATHEWS, C. B., and AMBROSE, J. G. Oct. 31, 1938, No. 31395. [Class 20 (ii)] An adjustable beam support for floor shuttering, comprises adjustable outer and inner members, the outer member 2 being formed of spaced bars 2a forming side slots 3b to receive the ends of cross bolts 5, while the inner member 4 is formed of two spaced bars 4a to fit over the cross bolts and slide within the outer member. Fixed removable spacers 6, 7 respectively are provided at one end of the outer member. Pivoted struts 7b, 8b, are provided at the ends of the beam to rest on the flanges A, B of the sectional metal reinforcing beams for the floor. The beam support may be supported intermediately of its ends by further adjustable transverse beams or by a screw-adjusted strut 10.
