519,249. Latches. CEREDA, J. A. Oct. 7, 1938, No. 29165. [Class 44] A latch 2 carries a roller 8 in its bifurcated tail and is withdrawn by the inward movement of either of two plungers 11, 11<1> which are formed with inclined surfaces 10, 10<1> to engage the roller. The plunger 11 has a slot, entered by a screw 21, of such a shape that when the plunger is turned half round, the levelled end of the plunger is forced behind the roller 8 and locks the latch against movement. A key shot bolt may also be used for locking the latch.
