[Class 38 (ii)] A high frequency inductance coil or transformer for high voltage heavy current work as in wireless transmitters is provided with a magnetic dust core 3 which is divided into sections by insulating spacers 5. The outer surface of the core may be grooved and the turns of the winding may be arranged in the grooves. The cores or parts thereof may be adjustable and/or the winding may be tapped for regulation. The winding or windings may be in the form of pancake coils 1, Fig. 5, supported by radial members 12 and having an adjustable contact 11. Specification 366,475 is referred to.
