Abstract

518,616. Television receivers. KOLSTER, BRANDES, Ltd., and SMYTH, C. N. Aug. 23' 1938, No. 24799. [Class 40 (iii)] The screen of the cathode ray tube is viewed through an aperture 1, and a sliding panel 4 is adapted to cover the aperture, and so obscure the screen, and at the same time to operate switches 8, or expose other switches, to bring into operation a tunable radio-receiver and disconnect the television apparatus. The panel 4 may be slid to cover the tuning-panel 2 and thus convert the tunable radio receiver into a fixed tuned television receiver. The panel may be moved by manual operation of the change-over switches.
