[Class 40 (v)] In a radio receiver the successive stages, or the input and output of a single stage, are mounted on separate detachable screening panels, which are assembled side by side and parallel to each other. Fig. 1 shows a superhet receiver in which four panels, such as 12, are clipped into contact-members 14 on the framework 1, each panel having the associated apparatus mounted on one side only. The wavechange switches in each stage are mounted in line, so that when the screens are assembled in place a common spindle can actuate them simultaneously. The ganged condenser is mounted inside the section 4 with the screening plates between the various sections lying in the same planes as the corresponding screening panels.
