Abstract
518,615. Television receivers. KOLSTERBRANDES, Ltd., SMYTH, C. N., and TILLER, P. A. Aug. 23, 1938. No. 24798. [Class 40 (iii)] A blind or shutter is arranged between the screen of the cathode-ray tube and the front face of the cabinet to obscure the screen when the tube is not in operation. The blind may be controlled by a manually operated member which also operates a switch controlling the vision reception. The blind E moves vertically on wheels F along the rails G and is supported by a cord P passing over a pulley O which is turned by a knob H through the clutch J. The latter is kept engaged by a spring L and frictional brakes M to hold the screen in its adjusted position. Specification 518,616 is referred to.
