Abstract

518,077. Pneumatic conveyers. BRUCE, J. Aug. 11, 1938, No. 23657. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XII] A fan P which may be driven at a variable speed draws pulverized fuel and air from a pulverizer M and delivers the mixture to one or more cones N where it is supplied with secondary air by a fan SP after which the stream of fuel and air passes to the burner B of the furnace A. The fan SP also supplies a further supply of air through the conduit TD to the furnace at G, the relative proportions of air supplied through the conduits TD and SD being controlled by a damper D.
