Abstract

518,007. Golf clubs. SAYERS, B. Aug. 31, 1938, No. 25471. [Class 132 (ii)] The head of a golf club is attached to a tubular metal shaft 10 by means of a tang 4 fitting into an outwardly flared portion of the shaft. The shaft may before assembly have a sheath 5 of thermo-plastic material over the whole or part of its length, a ferrule 8 completing the length in the latter case. The tang may be solid or hollow and is secured by rivets 9.
