Abstract

412,662. Golf clubs. FORGAN & SON, Ltd., R., and FORGAN, P. L., The Links, St. Andrew's, Fifeshire. Jan. 30, 1933, No. 2805. [Class 132 (ii).] The steel shaft 9 of a wooden headed golf club has rigidly secured thereto an externally tapered celluloid or like sleeve 10 internally shaped snugly to engage over a reduced portion 7 of the socket 4 and abut against a shoulder 6 when the shaft is inserted in the head. The portion 7 may be cylindrical or tapered, and is preferably screw-threaded at 8, the sleeve 10 being screwed thereon. Adhesive is applied to the portion 7 to bind the joint.
