Abstract

550,961. Grip dumb-bells. PRESTON, C. W. Aug. 1, 1941, No. 9771. [Class 132 (i)] A gripping device in the form of a dumb-bell is made of rubber or other resilient substance or composition shaped to conform to the hand of the user. The dumb-bell A is formed with a hole running longitudinally through the centre and a core C, preferably removable, is inserted to increase the resistance to be overcome. This core may be composed of resilient material of a harder texture than the dumbell or it may be made of metal, metal tubing, wood or springwire.
