Abstract

322,512. Wilson, A. G. Sept. 4, 1928. Handles.-A device for facilitating the correct grip of golf clubs cornprises a piece of rubber or like material having a concave portion a and a web portion b formed integral therewith, the web portion being adapted to be inserted between two of the fingers of the left hand, and the concave portion being adapted to engage the shaft of the club. The web portion is enlarged at its outer edge c so that the device can be more easily retained in the hand. A multiplicity of small cup-like recesses f are provided on the concave portion to enable the device more effectively to grip the shaft. The device is made of vulcanized rubber. The player grips the shaft with the device so that it occupies a definite position around the centre line of the shaft determined as suitable by the player.
