Golf clubs.-In a wooden golf club head the hollow stump for receiving the tapered extremity of the shaft is reinforced by a conical metal ferrule b which fits tightly upon the stump and has an inwardly-directed flange b<1> fitting closely around the shaft. The ferrule may fit against a shoulder a<2> and may be further secured by a screw b<2>.
