[Class 82 (i)] [Also in Group XXIV] A wire-rope pulley has its tread formed of loosely inserted blocks having a Brinell hardness not exceeding 120 and preferably less than 80 and a coefficient of friction with the steel rope of at least 0.25. The blocks are made of magnesium alloyed with from 3 to 10 per cent. aluminium, 1 to 3 per cent. zinc and 1 per cent. or less manganese.
