418,700. Covering pulleys or rollers; brake drums. SCHUTZ, A., 4, Widerhofergasse, Vienna. Aug. 29, 1933, No. 23969. Convention date, March 21. [Class 80 (iv).] To increase its grip on the belt or band which it engages a pulley or brake drum 1 is provided with a frictional covering secured to a metal band to form a unitary ring 2 which is then secured to the pulley or drum by jamming members 3, which may be wedges or wedge shaped rings. Several rings may be secured to the pulley or drum, the intermediate wedge-rings 3 being common to two rings 2. The ring 2 may be secured to an intermediate ring, which is in turn secured to the pulley &c.
