[Class 122 (i).] In compound rings of the type comprising a split ring e housed in a recess f in a split ring b of L section and having a projection h which engages a slot d in the outer annulus of the L-shaped ring and covers the slit c in the inner annulus, the gaps in the ring elements are parallel to the a,xis of the ring.
