517,149. Refrigerators etc.; non-conducting coverings. CORBELLINI, G. P. Aug. 22, 1938, No. 24682. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1937. [Classes 29 and 64 (ii)] [Also in Group IV] Heat t insulated chambers such as refrigerators have double walls made of moulded urea-formaldehyde condensation product with an airtight cavity between the walls. The cavity may be evacuated or filled with powdered, fibrous or other insulation. The inner and outer walls 2, 1, Fig. 1, may be formed in two complete mouldings connected by a gasket 4 at the door opening. The base structure 8 may be of similar material. The opposed faces of the walls may have stiffening and contacting ribs 5, 6 and the inner wall may have grooved ribs 7, for supporting shelves. For large cabinets the walls may be formed of connected panels or blocks each formed in two moulded parts united by screws 14, Fig. 3 or bolts 22, Fig. 7, or moulded hollow blocks 16, Fig. 5, may be connected by dovetailed joints. Doors carrying refrigerating machines on their inside faces may be similarly constructed. Conduits 15, 20, for wiring for electrical equipment may be moulded in the structures.
