[Class 64 (i)] In an air-heating furnace particularly intended for supplying hot air for use in drying tea and of the kind having a hot air chamber above the furnace crown to which chamber air is admitted from heating passages at the side of the furnace, the roof of the furnace has a sliding portion which may be slid back to allow furnace gases to mix with the air in the hot air chamber.
