Abstract
515,435. Automatic control systems. WHITE, E. L. C., and MANSFORD, H. L. June 1, 1938, No. 16345. [Class 38 (iv)] Voltage.-In a load voltage stabilizing arrangement in which the grid of a valve 12 in series with the load is connected to the anode of a control valve 3 in a shunt circuit of which valve the grid is connected to a tapping on a high resistance 10 connected across the load circuit, one negative end of this resistance is maintained at a constant negative p.d. with regard to the load circuit terminal by a control voltage 6. This control voltage may serve for a large number of stabilizers, To permit a wide range of regulation down to zero voltage at further source 16, such as a voltage stabilizer, may be connected between the cathode of valve 3 and the load circuit terminal. A condenser 13 may eliminate ripple voltage. The valve 3 may be a triode. The invention extends to arrangements in which a relay valve is arranged between the valves 3 and 12 or between the resistance 10 and the grid of valve 3.
