Abstract

469,755. Automatic control systems. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. Oct. 30, 1935, No. 29934. Void. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1934. [Class 38 (iv)] In order to maintain constant the continuous current voltage in a network n<1>, supplied by a rectifier a, a battery b is connected in the network as shown and the difference of potential at the points X, Y is applied between the cathodes of each of a series of single-anode hot-cathode rectifier tubes a<1>, and the star point X<1> of a transformer secondary t<2>. The anodes of the tubes al are connected, through current transformer primaries s<1> with another secondary t<1>, and the current transformer secondaries supply control potentials for the grids g of the rectifier a. An amplifier V may be included in the leads from X, Y. The electric discharge tube circuit shown in Fig. 4, may be interposed in the leads from XY. The potential across the points X Y is applied at X<2>, Y2 between the grid of a tube G<1> and a tapping on the anode resistance R<2> of the tube G<1>, and the grid of the tube G<2> is connected with a tapping on the anode resistance R<1> of the tube G<1>. The potential differences at X<3>, Y<3> are transferred to the points X<1>, Y<1>, Fig. 1. The application to inverter and other systems is suggested.
