Abstract
419,437. Voltage regulation in rectifier systems. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Feb. 9, 1933, No. 4036. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 10, 1933]. [Class 38 (ii).] For supplying D.C. at a variable voltage to traction motors, accumulators &c., a rectifier is employed having two or more anodes a<1>, a<2> associated with switching means u whereby the anodes may be connected with the same or different voltage taps on the supply transformer t, and gridcontrol is employed to divert current from each anode in turn while it is transferred from one tap to the next. The anodes are intended to operate normally on the same voltage taps, parallel operation being ensured by the use of chokes in the anode leads.
