[Class 38 (v)] A time-delay switch for traffic direction indicators comprises a hand lever s which can be moved from a horizontal off position, Fig. 2, to the position shown in Fig. 1, to give a "right" or "left" signal. During this movement a member a rigid with lever s engages a part u of a lever h to turn the lever about its pivot x against the action of a return spring f and a forked part g of lever h engages a pin w to turn a lever v about a pivot c. On release of lever s the parts return due to spring f and a time delay is introduced by a pawl k on lever v engaging a wheel of a fly train. The return movement ends when the member a is held between the part n and a stop pin u on lever v, Fig. 2. If lever s is turned anticlockwise from the central position, part n engages pin u to turn lever v which by means of pin w turns lever h in the same direction as before and the same delayed return results. The arm a may be replaced by a cam having two operative edges.
