Abstract
352,780. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. TIMM, P., 26, G÷benstrasse, Hamburg, Germany. Aug. 21, 1930, No. 24999. [Class 118 (ii).] A brake-actuated electric signalling device a on a motor-vehicle is operated during the initial movement only of the brake-actuating mechanism c. The cable c moves a pivoted lever e having a pin h adapted to engage a shoulder g on a slide f, which is thereby moved so as to bring a contact plate j against a contact spring n and so to complete the signal circuit. On further movement of the lever e, the pin h rides free of the shoulder g and the slide f moves under the influence of a spring q to break contact. Either the pin or the shoulder may be made to yield resiliently. A switch p is provided to cut-out the signalling device when desired.
