Abstract
312,483. Winter, C. D. May 17, 1928. Road - traffic signals on vehicles.-A number of pivoted signal arms, Fig. 7, for use on a road-vehicle are selectively operated by levers Y and wines W<1>, W<3>, W<4>, W<6> under the control of a universally mounted handle H. The ends of the wires pass through a fixed plate G and are secured to a slotted plate D carried on the lever H, which is maintained in neutral position by a spring I. The lever H pro. jects through radiating slots in a cover L, and when moved along a particular slot lifts a particular signal arm, exhibiting the desined warning to the front and the rear. Separate levers N', N<2> actuate through wires W<2>, W<5> the signal arms for " Pass " and " Reversing." " The arms fall against rubber rollers K<5>. When rotated to the signalling position, the arms make contact with an insulated spring K<2>, thereby completing the circuit for illuminating the signals.
