[Class 64 (ii)] In a steam trap having a float operated discharge valve 7, normally below the lowest water level, the casing 5 is symmetrical to its vertical axis and is provided with a single horizontal circular cover 2 at its highest part and also symmetrical to its vertical axis. The cover opening 3 is smaller in diameter than the internal diameter of the trap. Since the highest water level is at OW, the cover is only in contact with steam. Specification 404,323 is referred to.
