Abstract

508,566. Foot-arch supports. LEVI, J. T. J. Sept. 25, 1937, No. 26066. Void. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1936. [Class 17 (ii)] A pad of sponge rubber is inserted in a pocket formed under the foot arch by sewing together plies of material of which an insole is formed, to support the longitudinal arch of the foot. A layer 5 of linoleum may be cemented to the upper face of the sponge rubber pad 4 to transmit pressure from the foot over the larger area of the pad 4. Sponge rubber pads 6, 7 may also be provided between the plies 1, 2 of the insole under the ball of the foot and under the heel. In the case of the pad 6, the pocket is made large enough to permit the position of the pad to be adjusted.
