Abstract

170,457. Bolton, J. Aug. 26, 1920. Foot-arch supports.-A support is formed of one piece of leather A split in its thickness to form lateral pockets under the arch of the foot C and under the heel D. These pockets are stuffed with wadding to suit individual requirements. Alternatively, two separate pieces of leather stitched together may replace the single piece. An additional pocket into which wadding may be stuffed may be provided by stitching another piece of leather under the first piece under the arch, and holes may be drilled in the forward end of the support to receive plugs of wadding to act as cushions for corns &c. The upper surface of the leather layer may be perforated as shown at E to permit ventilation of the pockets.
