508,342. Supply systems to fuelinjection pumps ; centrifugal separators. L'ORANGE, P. Aug. 19, 1938, No. 24470. [Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group II] A feed pump a delivers fuel through an air separator c to a fuel-injection pump h. A pipe e is tangential to the separator c and causes the fuel to rotate and the pipe f, leading to the injection pump is also tangential. A restricted orifice l is connected to the supply tank b or the return conduit i and permits escape of air or gas bubbles in the fuel. The cross-section of the orifice is such that at normal pressures not more than 10-20 per cent of the fuel pumped can pass through.
