[Class 40 (iv)] In a system for distributing modulated carrier signals over lines, the lines are arranged in groups according to the number of programmes transmitted theroover, and each group is fed through a common amplifier. Two groups of lines 1, 2 are fed through amplifiers 5, 7 which are supplied directly from corresponding transmitters 3, 4, while in addition the transmitter 3 supplies the amplifier 7 through a filter 8. The amplifiers are arranged symmetrically and are shielded.
