1391290 Stereophonic broadcasting systems GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 23 Nov 1973 [1 Dec 1972] 54578/73 Addition to 1391289 Heading H4L The transmitter of the parent Specification 1,391,289 for transmitting four stereophonically related signals, in which the input to the main carrier frequency modulator includes a filter for removing all but a relatively small portion of the upper sideband of the third (76 kHz) subcarrier and for attenuating the uppermost portion of the lower sideband of the third subcarrier is arranged so that the filter has a centre frequency at about the lower edge of the lower sideband of the third subcarrier and an upper skirt which provides an attenuation of about 6 db. at the frequency of the third subcarrier.
