Abstract

1,136,136. Frequency multiplex carrier systems. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 8 July, 1966 [15 July, 1965], No. 30762/66. Heading H4R. Multi-channel carrier frequency terminal is provided using printed, thin film, or thick film circuits which include filters composed of RC networks with piezo-electric or electrostrictive resonators to sharpen the attenuation peaks. The frequency transposition at the terminal is provided using identical filters for each channel. As described speech channels are modulated by a 48 kc. carrier and the upper sideband selected by a 48-52 kc./s. band pass filter. The resulting signals are each modulated by a respective one of a group of carrier frequencies of 112-116-120- - - -152-156 kc./s. to provide a set of channels in the range 60 to 108 kc./s. which are selected by a single common band pass filter of pass band 60-108 kc./s.
