Abstract
520,756. Multiplex wireless signalling. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. (Nederlanden Staat Der.) Oct. 31, 1938, No. 31444. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 1, 1939.] Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (v)] The signal channels are spaced apart by using carriers which are multiples of a fundamental frequency slightly higher than the highest frequency in the primary channels. Each signal channel first modulates an intermediate carrier of common frequency which is higher than half the highest frequency to be transmitted through the signalling medium. In an example, 28 channels each of 0-3 KC., each modulate an intermediate carrier of 60 KC., the resulting upper sideband modulating a final carrier of 60 + 40x KC. where x is an integer ranging from 1 to 28.
