505,226. Invalids' beds; adjustments. PHILLIPS, Ltd., A., and ROGERS, A. E. Dec. 13, 1937, No. 34406. [Class 52 (ii)] A positional bed in which the articulated frame carrying the mattress is in three relatively adjustable sections 12, 12a, 12b the foot section 12b as well as the head end 12 and intermediate section 12a being adjusted by a traversing screw. The bed comprises a frame 8, 9, 10, to which the mattress frame members 12, 12a are hinged at 22 and of such length that the foot member 12b overhangs the end. Screws 14, 15, 16 bearing against plates 17, 19, 20 carried by the frame 8, 9 carry nuts 14a, 15a, 16a connected to the members 12, 12a, 12b through linkwork 23, 25, 12d; 26, 28, 12h, and 30 connected to the three parts of the frame adjust it into the desired position.
