Abstract

406,684. Adjustable bedsteads. HOWORTH, H. O., 32, Dallington Road, Northampton. July 26, 1932, No. 21012. [Class 52 (ii).] An adjustable bedstead comprises a movable mattress frame D pivoted at a point between the ends of a main frame C and freely adjustable up to a vertical position. Three bars F are secured to the movable frame and are pivoted at G to one end of a bar H, the other end of which is pivoted to a nut K working on a screw L. The screw L is supported by brackets M, N on transverse bars O, O<1> respectively and rotation of a handle P produces angular adjustment of the frame D. A foot rest in two parts Q, R is adjustable by its arm S engaging fixed pegs T on the frame D.
