504,679. Safety razors. MACDONALD, A. ,May 26, 1938, No. 15673. [Class 30] The end cap D is pivoted by means of arms D<1> on the ends of a cross-rod C<1> secured to a rod C sliding and adjustably locked in .the handle B. The rod C' passes through slots B<1> in the walls of the handle, and through slots A<3> in plates A<2> integral with the guard plate A. .The blade is clamped in position for shaving by pressing down the cap D and then turning a screw knob E until it bears on the end C' of the rod C. The blade is positioned by elongated transverse ribs A<4> formed on the plate A.
