[Class 17 (ii)] [Also in Group VIII] A composite sole for boots and shoes comprises a number of layers a of agglomerated cork with interpolated layers b of rubber, crÛpe rubber, canvas or other flexible material stuck together by a resilient adhesive such as latex, the adhesive penetrating through and filling perforations c in the cork layers to bond the whole together. The external faces and edges of the sole are covered with sheets of rubber, crepe rubber, canvas or other material secured by adhesive.
