[Class 70] [Also in Group VII] A sheet of rubber composition A which may be spongy, from which combined soles and heels are cut, has a thickened portion A<1> for the heels extending the whole length of the sheet. The portion A<1> may be formed on the edge of the sheet or down the middle for cutting a pair of soles with heels back to back. Strips A<2> may be inserted for reinforcing the tips of the soles and heels, and the whole sheet may be covered with a layer of harder-wearing material. The sheet may be moulded or formed by cementing layers together.
