395,987. Heel tips. STœBBE, F., Vlotho-on-Weser, Germany. Feb. 23, 1933, No. 5597. Convention date, June 17, 1932. [Class 17 (iii).] A heel tip a of rubber has a flat integral tongue c of the same shape as the heel and with the lateral edges bevelled to diminish in thickness outwardly to be engaged and concealed by correspondingly bevelled edges on a tread of rubber, wood, leather, &c. which is applied over it. The bevelled edge on the tread may be formed by securing a bevelled strip on its inner face around the back and sides. The abutting side of the tread and heel tip are of corrugated form, as shown, to avoid acute angles where the tread is greatest.
