[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Jan. 27, 1940.] [Class 17 (ii)] A boot sole comprises a top layer i, Fig. 1. of leather &c. a second layer made up of blocks a of cork cemented to spacing strips b of crepe rubber a thin layer c of crepe rubber and a tread layer e of leather in the form of transverse strips, preferably having zig-zag abutting edges, as shown in Fig. 3.
