Abstract

428,283. Ornamenting shoe uppers. GLEIM, H. A., 45, Howland Street, Fitzroy Square, London. Jan. 28, 1935, No. 2691. [Class 17 (ii)] Apertures corresponding to the shapes of five toe nails are cut in the upper of a shoe or other footwear at the toe and material of contrasting colour to the upper of the shoe is arranged in the toe to show through the apertures. The contrasting material may be placed between the toe stiffener and the upper, or the toe stiffener may be coloured in contrasting colour to the upper and may, if desired, be employed with a covering sheet of mica or other transparent material.
