Abstract

472,955. Ventilating rubber soled footwear. UNITED STATES RUBBER PRODUCTS, Inc. June 10, 1937, No. 16117. Convention date, June 16, 1936. [Class 17 (ii)] The foxing 6 around the edge of a rubbersoled shoe has a large number of small perforations 15 so that some at least communicate with channels 14 in the inner face of a filler 5 between the inner and outer soles 3, 4, and which channels 14 extend to the edge of the filler, to provide ventilating communication with the shoe interior through perforations 11 in the heel and ball portions of the insole. The filler 5 is preferably of rubber.
