Abstract

[Class 135] [Also in Group XXIV] With a rotary valve M<1> in the .position shown, high-pressure oil passes from a supply pipe M<3> through registering ports M<6>, M to a delivery pipe L<1>. On turning the valve, the port M<6> is brought out of register with the port M and oil passes from the pipe M<3> past a pressure-reducing valve M<5> and through a longitudinal groove M<7> in the valve to the port M, so that low-pressure oil is delivered to the pipe L<1>.
