502,952. Gyratory crushers. KENNEDY, J. E. Nov. 4, 1938, No. 32017. [Class 59] In a gyratory crusher the concave 36 is clamped between a pair of semicircular ring sections 21, 22, which are secured between the upper and lower parts 8, 6 of the crusher frame and are arranged to be reversed, end for end, between the frame parts. The concave 35 is circular and the inside face has a flat central portion 36 and diverging end portions 37. The outside of the concave is formed with end portions 33 and a central portion 34 which form bearing surfaces for the ring sections 21, 22. The two halves of the ring section arc bolted together by bolts 27 and are aligned with the concave by dowels 28, 38. The outer edges of the two ring sections are bevelled at 31, 32 to engage in corresponding recesses in the framing parts 6, 7. The ring sections may have lugs cast therewith for lifting purposes.
