Class 59 In a crusher comprising a crushing roller 21 and a bent crusher wall 31 which is provided with bolted-on wearing plates 37, 38, accommodates a pivot shaft 45 and is provided at its free end with spring-influenced draw bars 49, the crusher wall is symmetrical in respect of the bend 40, a bore for the shaft 45 and a bore for a shaft 47 for securing the draw bars 49 are likewise provided symmetrically in relation to the bend and the diameters of the bores are equal. The arrangement enables the crusher wall to be readily reversed after wear. For this purpose, the crusher housing has apertures 55 through which the crusher wall can be raised by means of rings 56 bolted thereto to be engaged by a crane for assembling or dismantling, and the crusher housing has a removable end wall 57 corresponding to the crusher wall to enable the latter to be lifted laterally out of the crusher housing after the shafts 45, 47 have first been removed axially. The crusher wall is in the form of a hollow body and is filled with ballast, e.g. concrete or scrap metal. Sleeves 53 connect the associated bores of the bolts 35 for securing the plates 37, 38 and guide tubes 54, 62 respectively pass through the bores of the shafts 45, 47. The roller 21, the shaft 13 of which is driven from a driving shaft 9, comprises toothed crushing rings 18, 22 and toothed spacer rings 19 secured together by bolts 26. A grading rake 71 is provided. In a modification, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), the bearings for the shaft 45 are divided in a horizontal plane and the housing portion which rereceives the upper halves of the bearings is detachably connected to the rest of the crushing housing to enable the crusher wall to be removed upwardly.
